Verna's Donuts

Verna's is located in North Cambridge in a building with a nice interior. It had places to sit, though the dining area was plain, with no real decorations. There were not so many different kinds of donuts-- just the typical donuts (Jelly, glazed, plain, and "Cambridge cream") but when we went to Verna's, it was later in the day and there were many kinds that were sold out.

 

Verna's donuts were tasty, but a little bit dry. We liked the jelly, but felt there was room for improvement. The raised donuts were more dense than at other shops.

Verna's is a good bargain, with a dozen donuts costing only $7.45.  It is in a neighborhood with many small shops nearby. Coffee and hot chocolate are available. There is parking in back.
